Preventive Maintenance
What to check before a vacuum sealer starts to malfunction repeatedly
Many problems appear before the machine stops completely: slower cycles, less uniform sealing, more residue on the bar, different noise from the pump, or bags coming out with uneven vacuum.
A useful preventive maintenance check should include the pump, consumables, lid gasket, closing pressure, parameterization, and testing with the product that is actually packaged.
- Oil check and pump performance
- Condition of Teflon, resistors and bar
- Camera gasket and leak test
- Validation of vacuum, sealing and cooling time
